Year two of Lakaynan was the hardest year so far. What came out of it was a declaration, a newspaper my mom left at my house, and a four-week carpentry bootcamp that left a mark I'll carry forever.

Rebuilding is sacred work. It requires patience, clarity, and a deep respect for the lives being reshaped within the walls we help create. On this anniversary, I hold that truth closely, and carry it forward into everything Lakaynan is becoming.

The journey to developing this project stretched me, scared me, and urged me to become the person that I need to be in order to receive the opportunities that are coming my way once I completed this project.
